| Well now I see people on here like to argue a lot...NOT So lets just get things started I would say I like PS3 better, but that may be because thats all I own. But I have played 360 more than enough to still decide I like PS3 better. So how bout you guys? | |

| I could argue this fact but I am not loyal to one party even though I have a playstation 3 symbol as my avatar. I cannot be loyal especially since I am a mod for a non-loyal partisan website but I hope to see some debates on here. | |

| have their ups and downs - I guess if you're an online gamer it depends what your friends have, and if you prefer single player gaming it depends on the exclusives? Although I contradict myself as I play online and all my friends have a 360 and I have my trusty PS3. If I'm honest, I chose the PS3 because it seemed more reliable (RROD etc.) and I was right - about 50% of my friends are on their 2nd Xbox, or had to send it off for repair. But it could go either way and I don't think either one is definitively BETTER than the other. | |

| I own both. And while deep down I want to say I choose the PS3 because of all the years of enjoyment Sony has given me (w/PSone & PS2), I'll have to say at this point I'd go with the Xbox 360. Now, in saying that, I enjoy both consoles, and wouldn't get rid of either. However, there are a few reasons for my initial response : 1) I prefer the Xbox 360 controller to the PS3 controller; it's much better for FPS's, sports, etc, and I like the shape, weight, and design of it much better. 2) Although you have to pay for XBL, it is a much smoother experience. I'm not much of an online gamer, but for the times I do go online, it's a more enjoyable experience. 3) And finally, the catalog of games on the Xbox 360 is much larger than the PS3, although it's been out a year longer. Games like Gears of War 1&2, Forza 2, Halo 3, etc that you can't get on the PS3. Unfortunately, there aren't many exclusives on the PS3 that I enjoyed as much as the ones on the Xbox 360.
Overall, I don't consider myself a fanboy, as I love video games in general. But to this point, Xbox 360 is my winner, even if the RROD issue really sucks.

| PS3 is more powerful. That is a fact.
But the Xbox 360 game library has so many AAA titles that it just rapes the PS3. That is another fact.
Therefore I choose the 360, not because of anything, but what's the point of having so much power and not many games that actually use that power.
Multiplatforms look a lot better on 360(in my opinion) and most fun games are Multiplatform.
That being said, a PS3 is like using a Bazooka to take out an ant, and the PS3 is like using a Uzi against a UPC(long and hard, and a hell lot of trouble, but eventually it works).
How much better can graphics get anyway?

| I like both, but I've been a Playstation user since the mid '90s so I'm partial to Sony's system. I don't mind comparing the two, but I'm not a fan of flame wars. It's about playing the games you love and having fun. Choose the system accordingly. | |

| Since i dont see flame wars for now, ill state my oppinion. The Playstation brand has always delivered the games i enjoy and love, all exclusive. That being said, the reason i chose to buy a PS3 is because of its games, God of war has always been my favorite series, ive never been an MGS player, but MGS4 made me one, Jak 2 and 3 are still my favorite platformers, Ratchet and Clank was also a fun experience, I loved Killzone 1, , and Shadow of the Colossus was the most uniqe game i ever played, just to name a few.
And now all my favorite games, are and will be on the PS3. God of War 3 is my most anticipated game ever since i saw Kratos climb mount olympus. Metal Gear Solid 4 completley made me a huge MGS fan, and helped me understand the whole story thourgh its cutscenes. Uncharted by the creators of Jak blew me away, and now Uncharted 2 will do aswell. Killzone 2 gave me the best FPS experience ive ever had. Ratchet and Clank made it to the PS3, with 2 games and 1 coming up, and Resistance 2 is still my 2nd favorite FPS of all time. And team ICO will release Trico, which will most definatly be one of the most uniqe games this gen.
And the PS3 gave me one of the best Online experiences ive ever had, with Warhawk, Metal Gear Online, and more, for free.
That is why i perfer playstation, its always been about triple A exclusive titles that are and always will be my favorite franchises of all time.

| well to be honest in this generation of gaming its been the 360 for me. But i have to say the PS3 excluisves since 2008 are really owing microsoft's exclusives. Having said that 2009 might be the year that ps3 totally owes the 360. But u never know. i have both consoles and some really great games. But its just that i have brought most of the multiplatform games on the 360 | |

| Back when the 360 came out I was still saving up for a PS3 and I decided not to get it, while I sorta regret it because the 360 is a great system and has many great games. But the PS3 more than makes up for the absence with its free online and also great selection of games.
If I had a 360 I would probably choose to buy the online multiplatform games for the 360 just because it has a bigger community, but the single player ones I would buy for the PS3 because you cant go wrong with full HD on Blu Ray and also I just like the feel of the PS3 a bit better.
Next gen I plan on getting both the PS4 and 720 (guessing on names), because I believe that to get the greatest gaming experience, there is not one superior system that is the best. Each one has its ups and downs and having both would open up the greatest selection and experience.

| I guess with the ps3 u get a balance of great games and good online ! But with microsoft clinching every major exclusive from sony, Microsoft might see that they will be abobe the ps3 this generation. | |

| For years I was a PS1 & PS2 user - was always loyal to Sony - even other electronics in my home I made sure to always buy Sony products. Then I found myself at a cross road where the games I wanted in the next year were coming to next gen systems, so to play those I had to upgrade. Now the ablility to play online w/PSN for free was very attractive - but when I divided out the $50 per year for XBL, it worked out to $0.14 cents a day - I can find that under the seat of my car. Plus, if I'm willing to pay about $150 a yr for satellite radio, what's the big deal. The last thing that made my decision to go to Xbox was that of everyone I know who is a gamer - only 1 person had an PS3 . Well, I'm glad I based my decision on these parameters, otherwise if I had stuck to Sony, I would have missed the exclusive dlc for GTA 4. There is one game that looks incredible that could possibly make me switch - Uncharterd & Uncharted 2 looks insanely awesome !!!! | |

| One thing I like about the 360 controller vs the PS3 controller is the attachable keyboard - the 360 pad connects at the bottom of the controller making it really easy to type messages with your thumbs - the PS3 keyboard I saw attaches to the top of the controller - seems awkward to try to type on it in that position. | |
