Game Night

This topic was brought up before, but this time we're really going to follow through with it. We're going to have game nights on a regular basis, but first we need to know which night of the week works best for the most people. What better way to do that than by having a poll?!

So, please vote on which day of the week works best for you, and we will organize the first game night shortly.

Is the US 8 hours behind or in front of the UK? Or is it not even 8 hours anything? If it's in front I could probably do this but if you're behind me then I couldn't because that would be early morning.

Well, we have people from all over the world. We'll keep that in mind when deciding what times we have this. If necessary, we can have game nights for each half of the globe. Once we get an idea of what day works best for the majority, we'll move on to deciding times.

Normally if I get to lay at night it's normally Fridays - nothing usualy on TV that we like to watch, so most weeks I'll declare Friday night game night

Well if anyone wants to play with me...you should see my PS ID below so just add and tell me who you are in the message and I will add you because I get so many invitations for people who are never on so I end up deleting them and are not even sure who they are.

I usually add anyone that adds me, but I have to periodically go through and delete friends who are never on.

Anyhow, we've only got a few votes so far. If we get a few more votes we'll make this thing official and get it kicked off.

I like your dedication Chris about Gamer Nights. I guess Saturday Seems fine. I would probably make a dedicated page for Gamer Nights when we have a pretty big community.

No official day yet. Looks like Saturday night is the winner for now. It'd sure be nice to have more than 5 votes though.

Okay everyone, I've thought of a plan that might work best for everyone involved ---- We do a Game Night on Saturday morning in the States. That would correspond to Saturday afternoon in the UK and Saturday night in the East. Nobody would have to be up at 5 am or anything crazy like that. This way we don't have to have multiple Game Nights for multiple time zones, and we can all get together at the same time.

Here's an example -

10 AM Central Standard Time (US)
4 PM London Time (UK)
8:30 PM India Time
12 AM Midnight Tokyo Time


These are all times we are used to playing video games anyway. I really think this would work out great.

I voted for Sat. What games do you guys plan on playing? I don't have a PS3, I canceled by Gold subscription with Live. On the other hand I have a PC, DS, Wii, and PS2 connected to the internet.

we'll vote on which games to play just as soon as we get some of the scheduling stuff squared away. i know most of the guys on here have PS3's, but we can mix up which platforms we use if we need to.

That's the other thing - not everyone has a PS3 or 360 - so how is this going to be handled ?

(btw - this is my 100th post on the web site's forums - everyone celebrate and have a drink !!!)

it's possible that not everyone will be able to participate. there's no way to cater to everyone quite yet. we'll do our best though.

Saturday, i dont do much on them nights.

I havn't heard much about this in awhile. So lets set a date!

Alright, let's do it July 25th. The same day as the giveaway drawing. Which system should it be on the first time?
